Our Vision

To protect our idyllic countryside and sustain dairy farming. Take the Dairy Promise: look out for a quality logo, such as the Red Tractor, on all your dairy products for a sign of food you can trust.

Take the Dairy Promise

Trust the tractor

The largest food assurance scheme in the UK, Red Tractor ensures the food you buy is traceable, safe to eat and has been produced responsibly – from farms to fork! Look out for a quality logo on packaging, not just on milk, but on other products such as butter, cheese and yogurt.

To follow this traceability trail, farmers have to keep comprehensive records of their livestock. Each dairy cow has a unique passport that can trace its mother, place of birth and any movements throughout her lifetime.

Meet your farmers

We're taking time out from the dairy farm to appear at events across the country. As well as flying the flag for dairy farming in each of our regions, we will explain – in our own words – what dairy farming means to us and to the UK as a whole.
