Local hero
A dairy farmer from Preston was this week's 'local hero' in The Times (19 August).
Ian and David Pye have opened up their Old Holly Farm to the local community, hosting school visits for children of all ages. Watching the cows being milked and touring the on-site ice cream factory is popular with the kids, who can participate in competitions to design their own ice cream flavours.
