Scottish cows get the royal treatment
A Scottish dairy farmer is thought to be the first in Britain to employ a butler to feed his cows - and the innovation was highlighted on BBC Radio Scotland this weekend (8 January).
The royal treatment comes courtesy of a robot servant nicknamed 'Hudson' after the character portrayed by Gordon Jackson in the 1970s drama Upstairs, Downstairs.
The butler feeds John Jamieson's 250 dairy cows on Woodhead Farm in Annan. John says: "The cows love it. They have become more relaxed and even produce more milk - a sure sign that they are in top condition."
